About the Festival
Roshd International and Educational Film Festival, with the aim of identifying, introducing, and supporting outstanding works in the field of film and cinema that have a purposeful and practical educational design along with creative and effective expression to promote the field of Islamic education, serves as a suitable platform for national and international filmmakers, writers, and historians to combine their capacities in pursuit of this noble goal for children and teenagers.
The annual activities of the Permanent Secretariat of the Roshd International Film Festival include:
- Implementation of provincial weeks with more than 1500 screenings in schools and educational environments across the country.
- Production of specialized educational mockups for teachers and students.
- Conducting specialized webinars with the participation of prominent film directors and related professors.
- Conducting experience writing sessions with the presence of selected participants from various editions of the festival.
- Providing consulting services by utilizing the capabilities of universities and film associations.
- Hosting a specialized summer school in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and related institutions.
- Screening and reviewing selected films from the Roshd Film Festival.
- Screening and critique of selected world cinema films with content related to teachers and schools.
- Holding specialized skill-building workshops for members of the Filmmakers' Teachers Club.
